What is a Church Planting Fellow?
Due to our church being located in the shadow of the University of Oklahoma, multiple high schools, the unofficial headquarters of both meteorology and the energy industry, a growing arts and music scene, and Tinker Air Force Base, Norman is an exciting place to live. Trinity Presbyterian Church believes we are uniquely gifted by God to impact church planting by reaching and equipping future leaders in all avenues of God’s kingdom. So, we have developed the Trinity Church Planting Fellows program.
If you are considering the next step after your education or a new post elsewhere in the world, then let Trinity begin training you to be a blessing to another healthy church who plants churches elsewhere. We want to send you with further training to reach God’s people throughout the nations by instructing you and helping you connect to another church plant.
The fellows program is a nine-month commitment, in addition to your regular work and study in Norman, to meet with a staff member and a team of fellows to study together the Bible, the church & the kingdom of God, theology, spiritual gifts, self-awareness, team ministry, evangelism, mercy ministry, christian worldview, and philosophy of ministry. Whether you are an industry professional, a stay-at-home parent, a university student, or a high school student, we believe you and the church at large can benefit from your commitment to grow through this rigorous and exciting program.
Becoming a fellow is not aimed at those considering full-time vocational ministry, but it is for training men and women called to all different vocations to consider and understand how each unique calling fits with the mandate from Jesus to expand his Lordship to every inch of the earth.
The Fellow program will begin with pre-reading in June and begin formally when school starts in late August. If you are interested, email firstname.lastname@example.org and write “Church planting fellows” in the subject line.
