What the gospel accomplished is the center of human history:

1. The old era was dominated by wrath of God, the new era is dominated by the righteousness of God
2. God’s people were defined as guilty, but now defined as righteous.
3. God’s people in the old era were helpless under the power of sin, but are now freed from its domination.

²¹But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it—²²the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe.For there is no distinction: ²³for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
