Our young church has now held two Covenant Theology Conferences in Norman, Oklahoma, October 28-29, 2023 & March 8-9, 2025. We decided to name it “Covenant Theology Conference” because we believe “covenant theology” is a great nickname for biblical theology. God’s revelation follows this promise from Genesis to Revelation. We are debtors to God’s mercy alone and His sovereign condescension to us, declaring that He will be our God and He will dwell with us, and we shall be His own people (Genesis 17:7; Exodus 6:7; 19:5-6; 29:45-46; Leviticus 26:12; Deuteronomy 7:6; 14:2; 26:18 2 Samuel 7:24; 1 Chronicles 17:22; Jeremiah 7:23; 11:4; 24:7; 30:22; 31:1, 33; 32:38; Ezekiel 11:20; 14:11; 34:24, 30; 36:28; 37:23, 27; Hosea 2:23; Zechariah 8:8; 13:9; 2 Corinthians 6:16-17; 1 Peter 2:9-10; Revelation 21:3, 7). Covenant Theology can be used as an apt nickname to describe the relationship that unfolds as the Father’s promises are secured in the person and work of Jesus and applied by the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
