“…the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
Colossian 1:27 teaches that a believer in Christ’s church rest in the joy that he or she is chosen.
Chosen for what exactly? This glorious mystery–that those who were once alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil, have been reconciled in Christ’s body of flesh by his death (Col 1:21). Through the Spirit’s work, we are now united to Christ and his work for us. Christ dwells within us…and this is the hope of glory (Col 1:27).
The fountain of all that we know of goodness and grace is the loving Father’s decision for us.
